Regulatory Support Officer


At the Invercargill City Council we aim to make it better for our customers. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the environment to help to make this happen!

In this instrumental role you will be a key liaison to the public giving advice and assisting with regulatory enquiries. With a wealth of knowledge in this area, you will ensure ease of doing business for our customers and community by providing a one stop shop!

Your excellent communication skills will be well utilised in this role, responding to enquiries in person, over the phone and via email. This isn’t a role for the faint hearted so you will need to use your strong organisational skills to prioritise and meet deadlines.

You will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or equivalent industry experience. Most importantly you will take pride in your work and will be dedicated to continual improvement of service delivery and ease of doing business to ensure that all of our customers have a positive experience.

In return you will be supported to continue to learn and develop your skills in environmental and planning services.
