An amusement device is a mechanically powered unit that is used for entertainment, for example merry-go-rounds, Ferris wheels and roller-coasters, bumper cars, indoor go-karts and mini bikes. If you operate an amusement device you need to obtain a permit from the Council. It is the Council’s job to ensure that the site and the device are inspected for safety issues.
