Water services are back to normal in Bluff.
Invercargill City Council Water Manager Alister Murray said this afternoon: “The good news is we believe water services have resumed to normal operations in Lagan Street and Pilcher Avenue in Bluff, and as such, we have ceased the water tanker operating in the area.
“We would like to thank residents and other members of the Bluff community wholeheartedly for their patience and support during what has been a very hot day, and acknowledge that being without water would have been frustrating for them.”
The problem was caused by a mains failure about 6am on Monday (22 January 2018). Normal service to most of Bluff was about 11.30am, but some properties remained without water.
