Join the fun this holiday season by taking part in the second annual Invercargill City Council Gingerbread House Competition. It’s your opportunity to create a house that will get the whole town talking!
The categories are:
Traditional Gingerbread
Holidays are the time when almost everyone turns to classic traditions for decorating ideas and inspiration. Any structure is allowed in this category. Victorian, colonial, modern, house, barn, cottage – you decide.
Reproduction of a significant Invercargill building
How much icing would it take to build the Water Tower Building, Tay Street or the Basilica? This is the ultimate test of realism in the art of building with gingerbread! Any well-known building will do. Your display must include a picture of the real thing.
