Rules governing advertising signs in the Invercargill District related to the 2017 General Election have been collated into a single document. Here’s the link:
It includes information about temporary hoarding and signs, an application form and conditions for trailer advertising, and a map showing the extent of the Invercargill District.
The signs may only displayed from nine weeks before the polling day (22 July 2017) until the day before polling day (22 September 2017).
Among the other restrictions on signs and hoardings: maximum size 3 square metres, they can only be placed on private property with the landowner’s written approval and they are not permitted on Council-owned land, including reserves.
