More than 230 people pledged their support for recycling during the iRecycle Campaign was run as part of Southland’s first Recycle Week.
WasteNet Senior Waste Officer Donna Peterson said the iRecycle social media campaign was created to encourage Southlanders to learn about recycling, take actions around the home and work, and share their recycling experience with family and friends. was run as part of Southland’s first Recycle Week
“Over 100 people liked the iRecycle Facebook page and over 230 people pledged their support for recycling.,” she said. “It’s been great to give back to our committed recyclers and celebrate recycling in Southland.
“We’re really pleased with the support we received from businesses, schools, community groups and the public for this campaign. We will draw the winners for the iPad, waste minimisation hamper and other spot prizes over the coming days.”
