As changes are made to the Adult fiction area during the refurbishment of the Invercargill Public Library, people will need to request books they wish to borrow.
From tomorrow, 22 August until Wednesday, 29 August, the Library will be moving across the corridor to a bigger space. During the move there will be limited access to all the collections currently on the ground floor.
Between 23 August and 27 August the Adult fiction area will not be accessible to the public, which means books from this collection can only be borrowed by request.
Libraries and Archive Manager Marianne Foster said the move will begin with adult fiction, followed by large print, young adult material, graphics, audio books, magazines, DVDs and multimedia. Children’s collections will be the last to move.
“Our staff will be available to retrieve specific books for you during this time, however the collections may not be available for browsing,” Ms Foster said.
