Whale makes a splash tonight!

Everyone is invited to a procession and ceremony for the Tale of Southland – Murihiku sculpture: banners, flags, costumes and dress-up (featuring plenty of South Alive yellow) are all encouraged.

People are invited to gather at the South Alive Community Park (at the rear of the South City Mall) from 5.15pm today (21 August 2015) before heading to the Russell Square site of the sculpture at the corner of Dalrymple Street and Elles Road.

Guests include Mr Cliff Broad, the retired Invercargill businessman and benefactor; Mayor Tim Shadbolt; internationally recognised designer David Trubridge, and Robyn Hickman, the Chair of South Alive.
