The Invercargill City Council is in the process of changing the Animal Control Bylaw and Dog Control Policy. These documents will be open for public consultation on Saturday, 4 April. The changes in these documents may affect you.
It is the intention of the City Council to provide clear expectations of dog owners through the new documents and help support them. Dogs are an integral part of people’s lives and it is important that both dog owners and non-dog owners are aware of the changes.
The links below are to the new documents and the submission form, and to the existing policy and bylaw. You can also visit the Council’s dog page for general information about dogs.
