There’s plenty for families to enjoy in the centre of Invercargill during the lead-up to Christmas.
In particular, this Saturday (17 December) 2016) Esk Street will be closed for the 2016 Christmas Festival and Market from 10am to 2pm.
The event also includes activities on Dee, Tay and Kelvin Streets. The Festival and Market features Christmas carols, food trucks, exclusive sales, the opening of the Gingerbread House Competition and a prize draw for the Christmas Scavenger Hunt.
The SIT Arcade will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland housing an arts and crafts room for kids, an international food market and a massage and chill-out zone for parents. The space opens on 17 December and ends on December 27 although the activities will only run on December 17.
