Traffic lights at the intersection of Elles Road and Martin and Janet Streets will be turned off from 8am to 5pm on Sunday (14 May 2017) while the traffic light pole tops are replaced.

A traffic diversion will allow traffic on Elles Road to travel straight through and turn left into either Janet Street or Martin Street. Traffic on Martin and Janet Streets will only be able to turn left into Elles Road. Pedestrians should take additional care at crossings during this time.

The pole tops are part of the traffic system that connects the red, amber and green lights to the traffic light control unit which co-ordinates the traffic flow and the pedestrian crossings.
