Education – SIT

In October 2017 SIT Head of Faculty Dr Teri McClelland visited Suqian College supported by staff from the Foreign Affairs Office of Suqian Municipality and met Suqian College Vice President, Directors, Dean and Vice Dean, as well as the Chiefs of Foreign Staff and Foreign Studies.

Suqian College has approximately 3,000 graduates each year and 97% of these graduates go directly into employment.

Dr McClelland and the Suqian College representatives discussed opportunities for collaboration between the two institutions, including study abroad opportunities and teacher exchanges.

Since the meeting, SIT and Suqian College have been working on the details for a teacher training visit for Suqian College staff to SIT in 2018. SIT appreciated the hospitality extended to Dr McClelland during her visit and looks forward to welcoming Suqian College staff to Invercargill in 2018.
